Being Light in Darkness. 5 Day Challenge of Loving Your Community.
Here's an interesting verse for you, it's found in Jeremiah chapter 29. In it God tells the nation of Israel that He drove them into exile, or, better known as slavery. But...what makes this interesting is what God tells them to do while they spend the next 70 years in slavery:
“Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. 6 Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease. 7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Jeremiah 29:5-7
God is telling His people that you shouldn't curse the darkness, what you should do is be a light in the darkness. Point people to Him! With that said...here's 5 days of simple ways to love people in your community and see a BIG IMPACT!
